Configuring an Application Link with Jira
Once Jira Snapshots for Jira is installed, it is required to configure a connection with the Jira instance from which Snapshots will be taken.
Note: If an Application Link with that Jira is already configured, there is no need to configure another one. Jira Snapshots will use the existing link, as long as this link is designated as the “primary” link.
Note: Jira Snapshots for Confluence is able to create snapshots from a single Jira, across your Confluence instance. It does not support retrieving snapshots from different Jira instances.
Steps to follow
Log into your Confluence instance as an admin.
Choose the admin dropdown and choose General Configuration > Application links.
If an application link is already configured with the applicable Jira there is no need to configure a new one.
If an application link with the applicable Jira is not configured, follow the steps described in the Confluence manual, to set up a link.
Jira Snapshots will access the Jira that is indicated as the “Primary Link”. So, if you have more then on application link in your Confluence, then use the Make Primary link to ensure the applicable link is indeed set as primary.
