Customizing the notifications generated by Training Genius

  1. Read & Understood Training Genius for Confluence sends notifications to users when they are assigned to train, or when the training has become overdue.

    A default wording for these notifications are provided, but you can adjust this according to your needs. The notification designer uses Velocity Templates. Refer to Atlassian documentation for more information on how to use this syntax.

    1. In Confluence administration, choose Training Genius Notifications Designer.
    2. Two templates are available for modification:
      1. New training notification: will be sent to trainee when they are assigned a new training.
        1. Modify the template as per your needs, and Update.
        2. A 'Send preview email' is available: it send a preview email of both the 'New training notification' and of the 'Training reminder'
      2. Training reminders:
        1. From version 3.42.0: You can configure here two separate time windows:
          1. Due date for training:  this date will feature in the 'My pending training' overviews.
          2. Days to follow up reminder: When a user has training assigned for longer this period, he will receive an email reminding them about all those pending trainings. Note that a user will receive a single daily email with the list of all their delayed trainings. If the user has no delayed trainings then they will not receive that daily email. 
        2. Modify the template as per your needs, and Update.
        3. A 'Send preview email' is available: it send a preview email of both the 'New training notification' and of the 'Training reminder'
