Defining a JSON rule
You can manually create a JSON rule without using the Training Rules Designer. Any rule you create manually, is automatically added to the rules list in the designer.
- In Confluence administration, choose General configuration.
- Under RADBEE, choose Training Genius Configuration.
- Define the rules for your training:
- Choose Export.
- Open the exported file in a text editor.
- Define a pageFilter, userFilter and ruleTypes.
- Save the text file.
- Next to Rules import, choose Choose file and select the rules text file.
- Choose Import.
- Choose one of the following:
- Parse & execute if you are happy with the rules and want to apply them straight away.
The system validates your rules and, if everything is correct, your rules are applied. Any training notifications are sent to the relevant users. Parse & simulate if you first want to test the effects of the rules and apply them later. Remember to set the scheduled job not to run to ensure your imported rules aren't applied. You can find more information about the simulation in Simulating a training and about schedules in Configuring the scheduled job to calculate trainings.
The system validates your rules and generates a summary of the effects.
- Parse & execute if you are happy with the rules and want to apply them straight away.
You can make changes to this design at any time, but remember that changes might not become active straight away. They are applied according to how you have configured the schedule. You can find more information about schedules in Configuring the scheduled job to calculate trainings.
